As the weather gets cozier and the sun goes down earlier, you may find yourself experiencing a shift in mood. Maybe you’re finding it harder to stay energized, you’re sleeping longer than usual and you’re staying home more often than you usually would.
You might even be affected by seasonal depression and find it challenging to complete tasks and keep your vibes up. As a business owner, you may go through phases where you feel uninspired or like you are losing momentum.
Don’t worry, darling! It is so normal to feel slightly out of touch with your vision and more tired every now and again.
Despite this, it’s still important to take actions that continue to leave us feeling lighter, more content and still capable of going for our dreams and showing up for our businesses.
Are you ready to bring your vibes up and get your motivation flowing again?
Here are 3 things to help you re-inspire your momentum!
We get so caught up in the 1,000,000 things we have to do that sometimes we forget to Konmari our businesses, not just our homes.
Make a list of all the things you do for your business and then ask yourself the following questions:
- Do I enjoy doing all of this?
- Does it bring my business the most impact/income for the time I spend on it?
- What could I stop doing, or take off of my plate, that would bring me the most peace?
As you feel less productive, it becomes even more important to maximize how you spend your time and invest it, instead, on items that will benefit you the most and light you up the most.
Does managing your social media, emails and engaging within your communities, groups and live-streams actually bring you joy? I recently came to the conclusion that I really didn’t enjoy having a Facebook Group. I wasn’t impacting people the way I wanted on that platform and it didn’t energize me. Instead of having it because I should, I questioned how I felt about it and decided to take it off my list. Guess what: I feel lighter without it!
This is where simplicity comes in; where do you want to invest your precious time?
When inspiration is low, we tend to start neglecting the other parts of our lives, starting with ourselves. We start to lose our sense of worth and wonder if we are doing enough or if we are where we should be. If you’re feeling a small season of being uninspired, take space and time to prioritize yourself and flow towards naturally towards feeling magical again.
Though we know that beauty does come from the inside, taking care of our body directly affects how cared for we feel internally:
- Wash your hair & body to feel fresh even if you are staying home
- Put makeup on or massage your favorite face oil in carefully
- Wear your favorite outfit and underwear
Look, we all know that behind the curtain it’s easy to embrace our ugliest old pyjamas and allow our hair to go greasy for an extra day or so if we aren’t going outside our homes.
But how does it really make you feel? Comfy, sluggish, meh?
Make it a number one priority to show up for yourself
Treat yourself with the same care you would if you were going to a gala every day, even if no other soul will see you. Contrary to what you might think, this is not about giving in to society’s beauty standards. It’s about checking it what makes you feel more like yourself and giving yourself that extra 20 minutes in the day where you are putting yourself first.
Extra doses of love can lead you far and make you feel capable, empowered and confident again!
Now that you’re looking fresh, it’s time to get your mind to catch up. Feed your inner self by:
- Read a motivating book
- Allow yourself to do 10 minutes of meditation a day
- Turn the light off in the evening, click off your phone and take a walk or a warm bath to wind down so your mind finds peace before sleep
- Talk to your friends and other bosses about how you feel. Motivate yourself to go and grab a coffee date with them, if possible
- Create a sacred heaven at home. When your environment is cleaner, your head is clearer
There are many different ways to help you calm your brain and recharge. It’s all about finding a practice that works for you, as well as finding the frequency in which taking a break helps transform the way you personally work.
Taking breaks can help you feel more productive, capable, rested and clear-minded.
